Toronto, ON – July 25, 2024 – We are happy to announce that Nancy Ansong-Danquah has been named the permanent Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CAST).
Nancy brings over 20 years of experience in the child welfare sector to her new permanent role. Her extensive background includes 14 years in various leadership positions, most recently serving as our Interim COO and Director of Service. In addition to her service expertise, Nancy has more than 10 years of experience facilitating Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion-focused training for CAST staff and other agencies across the province. This includes specialized training in Anti-Oppression, Anti-Racism, Anti-Black Racism and Equity.
Since August 2022, Nancy has been serving as our Interim COO, further illustrating her exemplary leadership, dedication and hard work. We are grateful for her contributions during this time and look forward to seeing her continue to lead, develop and grow our initiatives aimed at enhancing Service delivery for children, youth and families.
